Eat, Digest, Recover and Prevent Infections

No matter your situation, alone, as a couple, with family, with friends or virtually, make the decision to have fun and treat yourself. It is also important to prevent infections. Here are a few recommendations to enjoy a good rest.
1. Get enough sleep, and sleep in the dark. Avoid bright screens for 1 hour before going to bed.
2. Cut coffee down to 1 a day. It irritates the stomach and stimulates mucus secretion.
3. Avoid constipation and keep an eye on your children's regularity.
4. Air out your homes every day. Drink more water; heating increases the need for hydration.
5. Get some fresh air; walking is a complete form of exercise.
Other Tips:
Eat 2 anti-mucus foods a day
Garlic, onion, leek, turnip, apples, green vegetables, fresh vegetable juices, carrots, watercress, ginger in soups or as a herbal tea.
In case of colds and flu
Take vitamin C and stop your vitamin and mineral supplements. Make sure you have a natural antibiotic on hand.
Vaccination is a
very personal choice
After receiving it, for 3 months, take nothing that stimulates the immune system. Vitamin C is allowed.
Have on hand:
Lobelia
Sore throats, ears, coughs, bronchitis, etc.
Fenugreek and thyme
For colds and mucus, 2 capsules in hot water.
Vitamin C
1 capsule a day. Vitamin C takes up to 2 weeks to reach a sufficient amount in the body. It is therefore beneficial to take it as prevention and not once the infection has set in.
Olive leaf extract

Papaya and mint
Enjoyed by everyone, men, women and children. Chew 1 to 3 tablets after a meal to help the liver.
Be kind to yourself:
Aperitifs and wine
Before having an aperitif, line your stomach by eating a small snack. You will better resist the effect of alcohol.
The 20/80 principle
Follow your good habits 80% of the time, and 20% for: eating tempting desserts, drinking a little alcohol. In short, don't be rigid. Your brain doesn't like prohibitions.
Eat when hungry and sense when to stop
Don't wait until you are too hungry before eating. Keep ready-to-eat foods on hand.
